About PDF splitter

Large PDFs are unwieldy — they are slow to email, hard to navigate, and often contain sections only specific recipients need. DocumentFlipper lets you split a PDF in several ways: by specifying exact page ranges, by dividing it into equal chunks of a given size, or by exploding it into individual single-page files.

The split operation preserves all page content including text, images, embedded fonts, and form fields. There is no quality loss and no re-compression. Each output file is a valid, stand-alone PDF that opens in any PDF reader without issues.

Your file is uploaded securely and processed on our server. All files — the original and every split output — are deleted within two hours. You can download each part separately or grab everything as a ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

Can I extract a specific page range?
Yes. You can specify any page range, such as pages 3 to 7, and download just those pages as a new PDF.
Can I split into equal-sized chunks?
Yes. You can set a chunk size (e.g., every 5 pages) and the tool will create the appropriate number of files.
Will the quality of my PDF be affected?
No. Splitting does not alter or re-compress page content. Each output PDF is identical to the corresponding pages of the original.
Can I download all split parts at once?
Yes. A ZIP archive containing all split files is available to download alongside the individual file links.
How long are my files stored?
Your original PDF and all split outputs are automatically deleted from our servers within two hours.
