About PDF splitter

Large PDFs are unwieldy — they are slow to email, hard to navigate, and often contain sections only specific recipients need. DocumentFlipper lets you split a PDF in several ways: by specifying exact page ranges, by dividing it into equal chunks of a given size, or by exploding it into individual single-page files.

The split operation preserves all page content including text, images, embedded fonts, and form fields. There is no quality loss and no re-compression. Each output file is a valid, stand-alone PDF that opens in any PDF reader without issues.

Your file is uploaded securely and processed on our server. All files — the original and every split output — are deleted within two hours. You can download each part separately or grab everything as a ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Visual and Range mode?
Visual mode shows thumbnails of each page — just click the ones you want. Range mode lets you type ranges like '1-3, 5, 7-9' which is faster for large documents.
Will I get one file or multiple?
If you select a single continuous range, you get one PDF. If you select multiple separate ranges or non-consecutive pages, you get a ZIP file.
Can I extract a single page?
Yes. Select just one page in Visual mode or enter a single page number in Range mode.
Is there a page limit?
No hard page limit. Visual previews are generated for the first pages — you can still select any page number for larger documents.
Is it free?
Yes — splitting PDFs is completely free with no sign-up required.
